Sunny Jhamnani, MD is a board certified cardiologist with expertise and certifications in a wide array of cardiology and advanced interventional cardiology. He joined Central Arizona Heart Specialists in September, 2018. Having lived in different countries, Dr. Jhamnani decided to go to medical school in India and serve the poor. After this, he went to Harvard for Research; Georgetown for Internal Medicine and Yale for Cardiology and Advanced Interventional Cardiology including Vascular Medicine.
Dr. Jhamnani is one of a handful of physicians in the country to hold positions of national significance. A few examples include being on the Board of the National Board of Medical Examiners, part of the National Advisory Committee for Medical School Programs, part of the Cost and Efficiency Committee of the National Quality Forum, serving as the Chair of the Council of Business and Economics of the American Medical Association, and part of the American College of Cardiology’s Board of Trustees Medical Professional Liability Workgroup.
Dr. Jhamnani is also a prolific researcher and publisher of works in the field of cardiovascular sciences and health care delivery, economics and policy outcomes; and has been awarded and recognized several times nationally for the same. He is active and volunteers within various medical societies and his community.
At his core, Dr. Jhamnani believes in being a strong advocate for his patients and community and to provide them with the best care possible using his education and training from the best schools of the country.
